The frost upon the grass has melted away,
The animals have awaken from their long slumber,
And green returns to the earth.

The sky has tossed away its darkened gray,
And the sun is bright once more

How I wish I could do the same,
The dark clouds of winter still cling to my thoughts
My movements, stuck in an unchanged rhythm

Humans have stopped adapting to the world around them
Changing things to match their desires

But for once I would like spring to come
I wish to change, to be reborn.
